A little about me...
Hi there! My name is Clare, and I am a professional newborn photographer based in Edinburgh, Scotland. I graduated with a BA in Photography back in 2001 and have been in the industry for over two decades. Over the years, I have honed my skills and perfected my craft to capture the most precious moments of new life for families to cherish forever.
Apart from my passion for photography, I am also a proud partner to Michael and mother to a lovely daughter Charley who keeps me busy and motivated every day. In addition, I share my home with my Russian Blue cat and Vizsla dog, who are a constant source of joy and entertainment.
When I'm not behind the camera, I love exploring the stunning Scottish countryside by foot, relishing in the fresh air and beautiful scenery. I also enjoy indulging in my favorite hobbies, such as trying new wines and dining out at the city's finest restaurants.
As a newborn photographer, I take great pride in my work and strive to capture those precious moments with precision and artistry. My goal is to create beautiful, timeless portraits that families can cherish for generations to come. With my experience, creativity, and passion, I deliver stunning results that exceed my clients' expectations.
I've been told that my approach to sessions sets me apart, I prefer to take my time and make sure everybody is relaxed and ready to participate in the session (it can take a while even for my bigger clients to relax). I don't stop the session on the stroke of the hour. If I feel I will get better images by continuing for a while, then thats what I'll do.
My portrait studio is situated at 157 Granton Road, there is plenty of free on street parking available.
My building is equipped with lifts for your convenience and comfort, Im on the ground floor so you can bring your buggy right into to my studio with ease. When you come into the studio you’ll sees it is a large 50 square meter space so you have plenty of room to relax and watch me take the very best care of your precious new-born baby. I have a fully stocked fridge with cold drinks, individually packed snacks, teas and coffees. I’ll serve you a cappuccino and biscuits and you can just sit back and relax on my comfy sofa – you no doubt need a break! If you forget anything (it happens, I remember it well) then don’t panic. I have everything you need.
